2009 DAV Christmas Party

The members of the DAV Chapter #28 in Lakeland, FL. had their annual Christmas Party on December 12, 2009.  A special dinner was served of Ham, Turkey, Brisket, Mash Potatoes, Green Beans, Rolls, and Desert.  Amongst the guest was Santa and Mrs. Clause.

Santa even went out on the dance floor to cut a rug.

On November 16, 2009 Golden Corral graciously served millions of veterans across the nation.  The DAV Chapter 28 was at the Golden Corral in Lakeland requesting people to sign cards for our soldiers who could not eat with us because they were recovering from injuries at the James A Haley VA Hospital.

Thank you citizens of Lakeland for Supporting Our Troops.

The Polk County Veterans Day Parade and Patriotic Festival

The DAV Chapter 28 request our citizens to sign Get Well Cards for our service members recovering from injuries and disease at the James A Haley VA Hospital.

Even though there were many excellent letter to our veterans, we thought these three deserved special recognition but we would like to thank all students from Lake Gibson Middle School who participated in this project.
